This weekend Greg + I packed up our car and attempted to drive to Big Bear [a resort town in the mountains near Los Angeles]. We knew there was a TON of snow, but what we didn't know was that the conditions were so bad that the roads were closed to non-residents!

We were bummed at first, but determined to sleep in a cabin, play in the snow + drink too much hot chocolate! We weaseled our way up the mountain [thank you GPS!] and were able to rent the most darling little cottage in Lake Arrowhead. We had an amazing time!
[and lots of fun with my lensbaby!]

What did you do over the weekend?

Erin, these are gorgeous, gorgeous photos!! I want your lens baby! Snow rarely falls in southern Italy and I have never missed snow that much....up until now.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful, wintery, romantic weekend!

I used to live in Lake Arrowhead, it's way cooler than Big Bear anyway... good choice, although it was forced, haha

Cute. I bought new boots for the snow this year and now it looks like we aren't getting any. I guess we could drive to it like you did. Looks like fun and the light in these images is surreal:)!!!

Oh my goodness - you are the cutest. I love these photos and your weekend sounds perfect!

I had to work all weekend @ my "9-5" job but I caught up on some sleep which is always a bonus. *I sound like a grandmother*

Stunning photography!! I just stumbled over here from Mara's blog M Loves M. I really like yours! I love that California truly gets the best of both worlds. Beautiful summery weather year-round, with nearby towns that get all 4 seasons. LOVE.
