Hello Loves! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I had such a great time on my shoot with Olive Juice Photo! I'm VERY excited to share a few photos of that with you later this week!

I also have been working on a short behind the scenes video of my big photoshoot ... I've been having fun playing with my zumi super 8-style camera & picking a fun song to go along with the video! Check back soon for that!

I just loved this DIY from A Field Journal on how to make your own darling chiffon and tulle hair pin for your wedding or event!

You can read the full instructions on Project Wedding.

If all goes as planned, I'll be sharing an inspiration board later today of a wedding I'm styling on July 4th- how fun is that for a wedding date?! The theme is vintage backyard flea market with a hint of Fiesta thrown in! I am so very excited about this wedding!

Pretty DIY ribbon wands would be so cute a picnic wedding or child's birthday party!

This lovely image from Julie & Kyle's engagement shoot photographed by Jose Villa.

I just adore this wonderful escort card display.

This beautiful shoot on a farm outside Nashville captured my heart.

There is something so sweet about this simple, down to earth set up.

These darling shoes & pink hued dress make me happy!

Vintage mis-matched stamps always add such a thoughtful detail to a pretty invitation.

This image makes me want to buy fun, bright-colored dresses to wear everyday this Spring!

Really, is there anything better than sharing a delicious meal outside with a few of your closest friends? A few nights ago I enjoyed one of the best dinners I've ever had, at MEET, a sweet little French Bistro in Culver City. We sat on the patio & munched on french fries and cheese fondue. Shared pastas & ate soup. We even split a few delicious desserts. We may have totally over-indulged, but it was amazing!

This weekend, I'm wishing for an expansive meadow & a rustic farm table to throw a simple spring dinner. In reality, I'll be running around styling a photo shoot {oh, so excited!}, but there's always next weekend to have a delicious dinner outdoors!

I'd serve a simple spring pasta like this Spagettini with lemon zest & chives with some rustic bread & good wine..

Serves 4
..........................................................................................
  • 1 pound spaghettini, or thin spaghetti
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 stick butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup ricotta salata cheese, or Parmesan, coarsely grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, or scallion greens, thinly chopped
  • Salt and pepper

    Directions

  • In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook 1 pound of spaghettini, or thin spaghetti, until al dente according to package instructions.
  • Grate the zest of 1 lemon into a large pasta bowl. Juice the lemon, and add juice to the bowl. Stir in 1 stick butter, cut into small pieces, and 1 cup coarsely grated ricotta salata cheese or Parmesan.
  • Add drained pasta to lemon sauce, and sprinkle in 2 tablespoons thinly chopped fresh chives or scallion greens. Season with salt and pepper. Toss well, and serve.

Spring Tablescape Part II
.............................................
Here is the second half of my impromptu photoshoot with Olive Juice Photo! It was so nice out, so we moved up to Leila's patio for these shots. I love the breezy Summer vibe they have!

I hope you enjoyed Part II! Thank you to everyone who left a comment yesterday. Your support means so much to me. And thanks again to Leila of Olive Juice Photo for taking these stunning photos. You can see the rest from the shoot on her blog.

Spring Tablescape Part I
......................................
I couldn't wait to share this project with you!

Funny thing is, it actually didn't start out as a project at all! I was just setting up a fun little table for Greg & I to have breakfast at a few weekends ago, and I really loved how cheerful it was. Leila stopped by & thought it was so sweet, so we decided to have a lovely & impromptu photo shoot!

The overall look was casual & vintage-inspired. I used a plank of wood topped with vintage books as a table runner, tea towels from Ikea as placemats, charming patterned plates from Anthropologie, along with antique napkins and silverware.

Tulips and ranunculus are perfect for a sunny springtime wedding or event!

The delightful yellow basket was a steal at Home Goods. I loved the industrial element that it added. You'll be seeing more of this basket, along with a few others in the shoot I'm working on this Sunday!

All photos by Olive Juice Photo. Head over to her blog to see even more! Part II to come tomorrow!

Happy Monday
How was your weekend? My brother & his wife came up from Orange County for a visit on Saturday and on Sunday morning I had the best time {and scored on some amazing items!} at the flea market with Leila, Maya & Anjelah. I'm so excited to be styling Maya's July 4th wedding this year! She has impeccable taste & is incredibly sweet & fun to work with! I'll be sharing ideas & inspiration boards on this wedding with you soon!

Things have been busy at Dandelion & Grey!! I have my first really, really big photo shoot this weekend & I'm so excited about it.

Tomorrow I'll be sharing part one of a two part post that I absolutely adore. You may have seen the sneak peek, so check back tomorrow for much more!

How great are these images of a lovely Catskills Farmhouse? It's so unassuming & I am just in love with it's simple charm.
