Guest Post on Postcards & Pretties : DIY S'more Bar!

Hello Loves!

I wanted to share the photos from my guest post on Postcards & Pretties! It was such an honor to create something fun for my lovely friend Chris' blog!
During the Summer you could say I have a borderline obsession with S'mores! All I want to do is throw a relaxing bonfire at the beach or hang out in my parents backyard around their fire pit. Always, of course, armed with chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows...

Here's a sweet DIY S'more Bar I created that you could incorporate into a casual beach wedding, a  rehearsal dinner or even a simple BBQ.

For a sweet favor, give your guests a wicker market basket with a summer scarf and a S'more for the road!

Hope you Enjoy!

p.s. I wanted to let any brides-to-be or married couple in the Houston area in on a great contest to win free engagement/anniversary! My lovely friend Dionne from City of Dionne is running the contest through her company Precious Nupitals. If you are in that area, definitely check it out! Click here for more info!

At My Table : Rusic Dinner Party

Good Afternoon and Happy Monday!
I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was absolutely lovely!

I wanted to share a more in-depth look of the At My Table shoot I created for my guest post on The Sweetest Occasion!

I set up my table between two windows with a gallery wall of empty frames as my backdrop. I used a barnwood tray to house champagne and glasses for an after dinner toast, as well as a wooden cutting board for some fresh pain rustique and slab of stained wood for a place mat.

I made some delightful lavender-vanilla cupcakes, decorated simply with lavender sprigs.

Mint tea is one of my all time favorite things, so I set up a little tea bar next to the desserts.

For favors, I set up some chairs to hold an array of cookbooks for "guests" to take home, placed underneath a garland of vintage botanical prints.

I used potted lavender & herbs from my garden in lieu of flowers, and they also inspired my menu, Spinach Ravioli with Sage Butter Sauce and a delicious Rosemary Butter to pair with the bread.

I hope you find ideas and inspiration At My Table

I wanted to also let you know that the darling Reese from Rambles with Reese has interviewed me and you can check it out on her blog today!

Hello Lovelies! Hope you are having a great morning so far!

I wanted to stop by and explain why I've been a bit m.i.a. and about the direction I am planning on taking Dandelion & Grey.
First off, as many bloggers say, it's increasingly hard to post daily in the Summer. I want to be enjoying the stunning weather and spending time with family and friends :)

And as I get busier with styling jobs and exciting collaborations, it becomes harder to do the research involved with blogging daily. I want my posts to be thoughtful & inspiring and I also want to have time to read my favorite blogs! Something that's been harder & harder to do and something I miss dearly!

So I have made the decision going forward to blog mostly about my work and my inspiration. I will continue sharing my events, projects and shoots and I will be continuing with the At My Table series, The Lovely List and my Inspiration Boards. I also would like to share more behind the scenes of what goes into styling a wedding, event or photoshoot.

Not much will change except I won't be posting daily, but do expect to be blogging more often than not. I also will not be accepting submissions of any kind at this time.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Dandelion & Grey! I hope you understand and appreciate the direction this blog is going. I am always open to suggestions or ideas, so if there is something you would like to see or if you'd just like to chat, please send me an email!

xoxo,

An Intimate Lakeside Wedding: Part IV

Thank you for sticking with me as I shared this entire shoot with you! Your sweet comments always make my day!

First up, a few more lovely shots of the couple, taken by Leila of Olive Juice Photography...

For the reception, I set up a table lakeside with more basket light fixtures, ceramic and brass lamps as a centerpiece, stacked vintage frames in lieu of vases, a burlap runner and vintage china and silverware.

Much Gratitude to The Fallbrook Treehouse, Olive Juice Photography, Twigs & Honey, Greg, Amy, Chris, Kat, Kody and Casey for helping my vision come to life.

And thank you to Style Me PrettyForget Me Knot Weddings for featuring this shoot!
